And, in the end, nothing much happened. Sure, Nebraska to the Big Ten and Colorado/Utah to the Pac-12 are important developments that will benefit those conferences in the short- and long-term, but we're now two weeks out from realignment doomsday, and so much is the same: The Big 12 still exists, if not in a state of 12. Texas is even stronger in relation to its conference mates than before. Iowa State is still a part of a BCS conference.
